Pemberton Hotel

It was just a proper fit for shopping in Pemberton with value for money. The front desk staff were really friendly and helped us with suggestions on where to eat around town. Avoid the bathroom near the bar area. It can get pretty noisy at night.

The hotel is unusual with clean area and very polite and honest staff. Very good service and good value.

Everything was great, unbeatable location just next door to Whistler and the pub, efficient staff. I enjoyed the room for a single chair to sit on. The downstairs bar was lovely. Staying here for one night was really great, totally recommendable.

The location is fantastic for a family! We had a great time exploring, and the parking was super convenient for all our outings.

My kids wished for more space to play inside.

Nothing! It was a dump!

The "clerk" at the front desk was nowhere to be found, had to call a number and wait for him to show up. The lobby stunk like rotten food, probably from the so-called Cafe attached to it. The condition of the walls and carpet in the stairwell was terrible (dirty, holes in the wall, etc). The door to our room had a very cheap doorknob lock and no deadbolt or safety chain. The window opened up to an adjacent flat rooft that allowed easy access to the room. In fact, there was a person walking on the roof in front of the window at 2:30am! Probably a drunk from the bar downstairs (we were awake at that time because of all the noise from the drunks who did not want to leave at closing time. The bath and shower was also terrible.

The location is perfect for visiting both the Big Sky Golf and Country Club and The Meadows at Pemberton Golf Course. The staff were friendly, and the rooms provided cozy comfort. Nice to grab some complimentary coffee at reception too!

I did notice the check-out time felt a bit early. Planning activities means packing up quickly, which can be a hassle.

I especially liked the breakfast diner run by Lisa Tracy. It was friendly service and real value for money. I also liked the whole Pemberton Hotel facilities; the bar, diner and the location in front of the railroad station, not just the rooms. I loved the basic location and the true friendliness, rather than the false or forced friendliness of large hotel chains and more "professional establishments.

Don't go there if you want expensive "luxury".

This place is a dump. There were holes in the ceiling where someone had punched their fists through. The beds were awful and hard. The tv was 20 years old. We got there and were told there was no hot water!!!! We had just come from doing 9 hours of dirt riding on our enduro motorcycling and couldn't even have a shower. We got a discount of $10.00 for not having hot water, wow how considerate.

There were blood stains on the comforter, the water doesn't stay a constant temperature and the walls are very thin. I booked a queen room but got a smaller bed. Very rude waitress in bar downstairs. It will be a memorable stay there but for all the wrong reasons :(

No screens on windows. The Air circulation was a 12 " fan on the dresser. No ground floor rooms. no food available as advertised.

The Pemberton provided a cozy escape with its quaint and clean decor. The friendly staff assisted with a smooth check-in, and I enjoyed the nearby Blackbird Bakery for breakfast, right across the street. Despite the train whistle at 8am adding to the ambiance, the stay was quite pleasant overall.

No tea/coffee in the room, apparently no need for it. The whole ambience of the hotel needs lots and lots of tlc.

Leaving it!

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at; the reception smelt, the carpets didn't match and were stained, the staff couldn't understand what you said and when asked where to eat I was given a leaflet on the hotel. At check in we we're given all booking forms and asked to pull ours out as the man couldn't understand English so we got to see everyone's names, addresses and credit card details. The fire maps were hand drawn and the rooms weren't laid out correctly on it. It was 40' degrees and no air con, so it was like being in a sauna even the floor, bed sheets and pillows were boiling hot. Then to top it off there was a huge chunk of bath missing leaving a rather grubby rusty patch. It's gets better, at 12.30am a train goes through horn blazing!!! By 5am we got up and left it was the worst experience of my life; if you are reading this stay well away from this hotel.
